Meet Frankie

This happy, happy boy is Frankie. He is two years old and is a Pug mix. We aren't sure what the mix is but he has much longer legs than one would expect on a pug. He is about 29 lbs. But all of those 29 lbs. are a happy boy. He is always glad to see a human, any human, he isn't picky about who is willing to pay attention to him. He has been amazing at keeping his kennel clean and waiting his turn to go outside to go potty. He has done great with the other dogs and humans of all sizes. We do not have any cat information on him.

Here is the update from his foster over the holidays:

Frankie is a very energetic boy! He loves to run, jump and root around in the snow, play fetch, and carry any object around the house. He has not chewed anything up, just loves to move things. He LIVES for attention although he does need his downtime as he is still learning his boundaries and is working on how to calm down on his own. He does great with gentle redirection. He does well with crate time as this gives him a chance to regroup. We know he is mixed with Pug but we also think he is mixed with chowhound because this boy loves to eat! He is not a huge fan of any other dogs in his space when he is eating. He is super smart! If we are consistent with behaviors, he has learned in no time flat. As he is so active and when he does something he goes all in he may not be suited for smaller children. He does appreciate his alone time with us much more than having to share us with our other dogs. After a few minutes of initial excitement; he rides very well in a car. We have taken him for rides lasting about 2 hours and he usually just chills out on the floor in the back seat. He is house trained but he is not a big barker so we need to watch for his pacing or other odd actions. We have tried to start bell training him and I think he will get the hang of it if he is given more time than he had here.

His adoption fee is $275.00. That includes neuter, current shots, heartworm treatment, current on preventatives and micro-chipped. If interested in meeting this happy boy please go to our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and submit an application. He is ready for adoption.
