Meet Frank

Listen up….are you listening?! Good, because I am not! You see, my foster parents are pretty sure that I am deaf and on top of that I am 100% cattle dog pup! Full of smarts, character and sass with a full set of well used puppy teeth that have the drive and desire to herd anything in my path! Frank is full on cattle dog puppy with great potential. In order to set this guy up for a bright and long future we, his foster parents, are looking for some specific things for this guy. We are not only looking for an adopter with cattle dog experience but one with deaf dog experience would be an added bonus. You see, Frank and his litter mates were literally saved not once but twice by ACDRA. These boys were found on the side of the road and landed in a GA shelter. Once ACDRA stepped in with fosters you would think things would be looking up?! But upon arrival to their fosters these pups became very sick… Frank and his litter have survived a lot and only the perfect homes, allowing them to live their best lives, will do.

In case you didn’t hear it the first time… Frank is deaf! Frank barely has an off button. His ideal adopter will have the patience of a saint to help him focus, train with hand signals and a secure fenced in yard. Frank would do great with an active adopter to get him out and about (leashed) to address his energy level and continue socialization on many levels. Frank would do great with a tolerant resident do. One that has good social skills. We are not going to lie his siblings get fed up with him. He is really rough and tumble, his teeth hurt and Frank can not hear his siblings scream- he just keeps on going like a crazed energizer bunny! Your resident dog should be able to tolerate an overly annoying puppy, one that will reprimand him in appropriate nonaggressive ways and be a good leader dog but not dominant. In saying all of the “bad” and you are still reading on and interested in big Frank then you know when you put the work in for this guy you will be rewarded with the loyalty of a Velcro dog that will look to you to help him succeed. An active get up and go, chunk of a guy who will enjoy life’s adventures with you. He really is quite a character! Due to his inability to hear, degree of energy and increase desire to use his teeth we are seeking a home without young children. When Frank’s energy level is appropriately addressed he is able to focus on training then some cuddling. Frank is the biggest of his bunch, use to a crate and learning to potty outside. Frank has had age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm/flea tick prevention and is microchipped. Frank is being fostered in Virginville, PA. For questions please contact leftdreams@gmail.com.
