Meet Francis! An 11mo, 29-pound Labrador mix looking for his forever home.
Francis is a loving and energetic pup who adores his humans! He greets each family member with wagging tail and oodles of affection. Francis also enjoys going for walks, lounging out and being a lap dog, playing with his rope toy or tennis ball – all with the company of his humans.
He forms loving bonds with his household but can be nervous around new humans while on leash and expresses this through barking so he would benefit from continued training to put him at ease. He is a smart pup and quick learner and has already improved within just a week!
Francis enjoys playing with other dogs but due to his high prey drive should not go to a home with cats. He also would do best without a shared wall environment e.g. apartment.
He is comfortable in his crate and sleeps there through the night. When he needs to use the restroom, he will stand near the door and whine to let you know.
As stated before, Francis really enjoys his daily walks, and it is a great way for him to have exercise! He currently does not have a fenced yard and does well on a tie-out but would not say no to a fenced yard to run around in at his forever home!

His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
