Fran is an adorable puppy about 10 months old. She is on the petite side and weighs about 50lbs. Her favorite thing to play is fetch! She is great at bringing her ball back, and working on the command leave it as she can get excited and mouthy when picking up her ball. Fran loves belly rubs and has a funny routine of coming up to you, putting her head to the floor, and flipping herself upside down. Fran loves car rides and enjoys watching out the window. Her leash manners are being worked on. She does pretty well but can react to other dogs while on our walks. We have been making good progress and lately has only been barking at dogs that bark at her first. She has been learning the basic commands of sit, down, stay, leave it, touch, and shake. She has made great progress sitting at the back door and waiting for the release command to go outside. She will also sit and wait for the release command to eat her food. She shows no signs of food guarding and will take treats nice and gentle from your hand. She loves soft toys a little too much and can destroy them in record time. Fran sleeps in her crate every night very nicely and sleeps through the night. She is in her crate periodically during the day and although she sometimes barks and whines at first, she will settle down. Her potty training has been going great and has had no accidents the past few weeks. She has not been exposed to other dogs or cats in her current home, but got along with both in a prior home. Fran can be mouthy and playfully puppy bite, but has made tremendous progress on minimizing the behavior while tethering her. Due to this behavior, it would be best if her home did not have young children. She's a teenager and needs a firm leader to give her boundaries. Her current home does not have a fence and she enjoys playing fetch in the yard on an extender leash. She has been spayed and up to date on all vaccines. This cute little girl is all set and ready for her forever home!
