Meet FOXY LADY
Foxy Lady is one of those dogs that you meet and will stop you in your tracks to ponder how she ever became homeless. This 2-year-old, 48-pound Hound mix girl was found with a small 10 pound Poodle out in a field behind a housing development in Middle Tennessee. She is the calmest dog we have seen in a while, and her foster says she is a dream girl that is very quiet and gentle. She is so gentle that she sleeps with the foster family cat and sleeps at the foot of the bed with the foster mom. She loves to plant herself on the couch, chair, or bed and just snooze the day away. Foxy is fully house trained and has the best house manners ever. She will give little chin kisses when asked to, and she sits and shakes for treats and has great instant recall to come to you when summoned. When outside, she is a typical hound with her nose leading her. A fenced yard (high fence) is necessary because she easily clears the current backyard 4-foot fence, and the foster mom has to stay outside with her to deter doing that. She is a gazelle when jumping the inside baby gate. No problem at all. She loves to play chase with the foster Doberman around the yard. She does not understand toys yet, and the foster mom did get her some treat puzzle toys that are challenging her mind to think to get the treat. She loves to be loved on, and belly and ear rubs are her favs. She is great with the foster's 6 cats, older kids ages 13-26. She is not food aggressive at all, and honestly, we see no behavioral issues at all. She will let you know when someone is coming into the house, so her protection mode is on alert, which is what a dog should do.
