Foxy's Story
Meet Foxy

Formerly known as Bisque at Contra Costa Animal Services, Foxy is a survivor in every sense of the word. This compact, 40pound boy has endured more than his share of hardship, but thanks to an incredibly patient and dedicated foster, he’s finally learning what it means to be safe, loved, and understood.

Foxy is super smart, house-trained, and crate-trained, with excellent manners once he feels comfortable. He’s a fantastic walking partner and absolutely thrives with structure and routine. His foster has invested countless hours helping him rebuild trust, and that effort is paying off—he’s gaining confidence and learning new skills every single day.

Foxy’s biggest challenge is meeting new dogs. His first reaction can appear reactive, but in reality, it often stems from anxiety and overexcitement. Once he relaxes and feels secure, he enjoys the company of other dogs and often just wants to play. Because of this, Foxy would do best in a home with another confident, balanced dog who can model appropriate behavior and help guide him.

This boy is likely a mix of herding and companion breeds—we see hints of Cattle Dog, Carolina Dog, Chihuahua, and even Corgi. He’s long, low, athletic, and the perfect medium size for both adventure and snuggling.

Foxy needs a dog-savvy, experienced adopter who understands that progress takes patience. He will do best in an active home that enjoys hikes, walks, or time outdoors, and one that can continue his positive-reinforcement training. Because he can be sensitive to sudden movements and loud environments, he’s not suited for a home with young children.

In the right hands, Foxy will be an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. He bonds deeply with his people and will go to great lengths to please those he trusts. He’s come so far already, and with continued guidance, he will only keep growing more confident and capable.

If you’re looking for a smart, athletic, and soulful dog who just needs someone to believe in him, Foxy may be the perfect match. Give this resilient boy the chance to keep writing his comeback story—one filled with patience, understanding, and the promise of forever.

First Step Is To Apply Now
[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application updates, forwarding requests, or any questions, contact us at adopt@underdogca.com.
