Forest, fun & friendly companion! Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Cattle Dog Mix Peachtree Corners, GA

Meet happy Heeler boy Forest! Forest was rescued by Good Samaritan and now foster mom Gale after Forest wandered (or was dumped?) into her son’s yard in north Georgia. Forest was so lucky to find this house as they took him in and gave him the help he needed and now he’s ready for his new forever home! In addition to being seriously underweight, he was missing hair and had parasites. Gale took him to Dalton Animal Care where he got all the right care for his skin, worms and his vaccinations. Forest was great at the vets and patient and loving even though he had to feel crappy. He now is infection free, his skin is looking great and he weighs about 50lbs! Forest is playful, energetic and learning all his basic commands quickly! This boy is smart and loves to play fetch with his toys! Forest is learning tricks too for treats of course! His foster mom just loves him- and would love to keep him but she has multiple animals already – plus Forest deserves a terrific home of his own! Forest enjoys car rides and his great on the leash. This affectionate boy will make a great exercise partner. He takes correction well and understands no, sit, stay and back up. Forest needs a secure yard with a six-foot fence as he is afraid of storms and has a breed prey drive. He can be trusted in the house, but his foster mom thinks crating is not an option for him due to being in enclosures for long periods of time. Forest has been great with new people, especially when they introduce themselves slow. His foster mom has not introduced him to young children and thinks cats are a no-go for him. Forest likely will be fine with another friendly dog his size or larger and this terrific heeler boy will bond to you quickly. Forest is neutered and vaccinated and so deserving of a wonderful, experienced dog home.
