Flora Chiweenie Oakland, CA

Everyone...please meet our Beautiful 4 year old Chocolate Chihuahua girl! We have named her Flora! She is super sweet and loves to be held and loved. She's around 9 pounds and is a perfect size! Things didn't start off this way though. Flora was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was shaking and under the bed that was in her "cell." She was terrified. We could not leave her there and we swept her up to save her and give her a better life. She looked at us with those gorgeous eyeballs of hers! She is so happy to be rescued!

Flora has moved on from her past. We have no idea what her life was like before meeting us, but she is looking forward to the future! She can be shy when meeting new people or trying new things. The outside world is new to her and she's trying to be as brave as she can. She has a foster brother that is showing her the ropes.

Floras favorite things are sun bathing, eating, following her humans around, and trying to be part of the family. She needs to learn everything. We believe she was an outdoor dog because she had to learn how to be inside the house. Now she's enjoying soft fluffy beds and blankets. Soft meaty treats. She loves chicken n rice! Puppicinos in the a.m. and learning to walk on leash were on the agenda for this week. She is ready to face the world, but she will need some human back up. Another doggy in the house and maybe a fun kid over the age of 8 years old would be good. Or maybe a Senior Citizen that needs a friend. Or maybe you need a new office dog to cheer your co workers up during the long work days. She is willing to put her heart on the line for love!??
