Are you ready to add a puppy to your family? Flitter is a wonderful guy who is playful, goofy, sweet, loving and ready to please and would do well in most households that have the time to devote to a young dog.

When Flitter came into Hero Dog Rescue, he had zero contact with people in his short life. It took him some time to adjust in his foster home, but he is such a happy guy and loves life inside his bubble with his foster family. When new people come to the house or he goes on trips in public he is uncertain, but we are slowly working on this to help him adjust. If you're considering adopting him, you will need to have a compatible canine companion to support him socially and emotionally since he looks to other dogs to guide him. Flitter sees his crate as a safe place and eats his meals and takes naps in the crate, but when he goes to bed for the night, he pack sleeps with all his foster siblings.

While Flitter is timid with new people and experiences, his willingness to explore and play with other dogs is a great sign. A family that will continue to expose him to new experiences and people in a gradual and positive manner to help him overcome his shyness would be ideal.

Flitter is a wonderful and endearing dog with a lot of potential for a loving home. His sweet and affectionate nature, along with his willingness to learn and respond to commands, makes him a promising companion. All his adopted siblings are thriving in their new homes. He is neutered and fully vaccinated and ready to for his forever family. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
