Meet Fletcher
Meet Fletcher!
5 years old
56 lbs
Fletcher is a sweet, mellow 5-year-old Pit mix with the most adorable puppy-dog face—complete with tan eyebrows that give her a constant “aww” expression. She’s a gentle soul who loves meeting new people, greeting them with kisses and a nonstop wagging tail. While she may be a little older, possibly deaf, and has had some skin issues, don’t let that fool you—Fletcher is the opposite of high maintenance! This girl is as easygoing as they come. She really just needs affection from her humans, and she’s completely content.
While we suspect Fletcher may be deaf, we do know she can hear a whistle! And despite her quiet nature, she has no trouble forming deep connections with her people. She’s low-energy, loves curling up on blankets or comfy dog beds, and is always happy to snuggle. She’s incredibly polite with treats—taking them gently—and knows basic commands like “sit” and “paw.”
Fletcher came to Aurora Animal Control in rough shape, missing much of her fur. After a month there, she moved into her foster home, where regular baths and a salmon-based diet have helped her coat grow back stronger every day. She’s now cleared for adoption and just needs a loving family to continue giving her the care and cuddles she deserves.
She’s fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house! She’d prefer to be the one and only dog in your home. She’s not a big fan of the crate and might bark a little at first but settles down quickly.
