Meet Fletcher!

Fletcher is a sweet, mellow 5-year-old Pit mix with the cutest puppy dog face you’ve ever seen, complete with adorable tan eyebrows that give her a permanent “aww” expression. She’s a gentle soul who loves meeting new people, showering them with kisses, and wagging her happy tail nonstop. Fletcher may be a bit on the quiet side—possibly even deaf—but that doesn’t stop her from connecting with her humans in the most loving, affectionate way.

Fletcher’s personality is as easygoing as they come. She’s low-energy, loves to curl up on blankets or comfy dog beds, and is always happy to snuggle with her favorite people. Though she’s a little lazy, she’s a wonderful companion who’ll happily spend hours with you, just enjoying each other’s company. She’s also very polite when it comes to treats—taking them gently—and she’s mastered the basic commands of “sit” and “paw.”

A beautiful chocolate color with those endearing tan eyebrows, Fletcher came to Aurora Animal Control in rough shape, missing much of her fur. After being there for about a month, she was fortunate enough to enter her foster home, where she’s been getting regular baths and eating a salmon diet to help heal her skin. Her coat is growing back stronger every day, and she’s now cleared for adoption. Fletcher’s ideal forever family will be one that helps her skin continue to improve while showering her with love and comfort.

Fletcher is also potty trained and has never had an accident in the house! She’s pretty neutral around other dogs—tends to ignore them—and would likely do well in a home with other dogs or as your one and only. She’s not the biggest fan of being in a crate and might bark a little at first, but she’ll settle down quickly. Her dream home is one where she can be close to her people and get all the snuggles she deserves.
