Meet Fletcher

FLETCHER is the official SDHR cookie tester. His two favorite things in life are cuddles and cookies. You can't help but be charmed by Fletcher. He is so tickled to be living in a world of soft beds, grassy yards and delicious treats. Fletcher is absolutely starved for loving attention. If you sit down on the ground with him he will climb all over you begging for love. He's the perfect snuggle buddy. Fletcher is 5-6 years old and is a bit overweight at 27 pounds -- he needs to drop some weight, so we'll be limiting his cookie intake for a while. Fletcher is a medium energy guy who loves a good zoom around the yard. We always prefer homes with a physically fenced yards for beagles to prevent them from following their beagle noses into trouble but Fletcher isn't terribly interested in the great outdoors. He wants to be indoors where the people and cookies are. He is dog friendly and unphased by cats but we suspect he'd prefer life as the only dog in the home in order to soak up all of the attention and treats. Fletcher is housebroken, crate trained and fine with kids. If you'd like to meet Fletcher, please fill out a dog adoption application at
dreamhouserescue.org.
We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet the Fletcher at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog's veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog's final adoption fee.
