Meet Flap Jack
Say hello to Flap Jack!
Flap Jack is an adorable Labrador Retriever mix who is approximately 10 months old and currently weighs 34 pounds. He was found running on the streets in south Texas near the border of Mexico, emaciated, with a skin infection and had been hit by a car. We could not leave him in that condition so we scooped him up and brought him to our rescue! Since he has been here, his leg has healed, he has gained over 10 pounds and is growing back a healthy, shiny coat. It has been so wonderful to see him thrive with lots of love, care and good nutrition. We are so happy to help this sweet boy find a loving forever home of his own.
Flap Jack is a typical happy and playful youngster. He gets along well with the other dogs in his group and loves to play with his toys. He can be a little mouthy as he is working on his social skills, so would benefit from some basic obedience training to teach him good manners. Flap Jack is very smart and loves everyone he meets! He is crate trained for his meals and for sleeping here at the rescue. We can see him doing well with an active home where he can get lots of exercise, although at the end of the day, he’s pretty happy to cuddle up on the couch, too.
Flap Jack is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on December 23, 2023. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost.
*Please note: You MUST be available to pick up Flap Jack at our adoption event on Saturday morning 12/23.
