Fabulous Finn is a beautiful 3 y.o. Poodle who weighs 11 pounds. There may be a smidgen of another breed but it doesn’t count because his personality is classic poodle.

Finn loves his “person” and that can be 2 persons but not much more.
When he was a puppy, the former owner reported 3 y.o. twins were “mean” to him. He learned to defend himself by snapping or biting and that of course eventually landed him in rescue. His ideal adopter will be someone with dog experience, no children and be willing to work with a trainer to help Finn continue to progress Since being in rescue, he loves his foster mom & dad (after the first 3 days). We have training techniques which will need to be followed. His adopter should not expect him to immediately be affectionate and plan on it taking a few days for him to trust and initiate contact. He is a very sweet compliant boy who developed bad habits as a defense and is learning to trust the people around him. He is very playful, gentle with toys and other dogs. He will do well with another dog in the home or can be very happy as an only dog. He does get overwhelmed with too much attention or multiple people in the home so we feel he will do best with a 1 or 2 person family. It will take him several days to realize he is safe and will be loved but after that he is the sweetest little guy. He has wonderful house manners and a moderate energy level for his age.

Note: We will not adopt him to a family with children.

Finn is current on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on prevention, neutered and microchipped. He loves to go for walks, rides in the car and is a very sweet little companion with his person/s. He is not trusting of strangers and will do best in a home now where there aren't a lot of visitors coming in and out. During times when guests are in the home he is very happy to have a safe place to retreat and not forced to interact against his will. He was well behaved and loves our groomer.
