SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Finley is a precious little fellow seeking the companionship of a wonderful adopter! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet. Finley is both quiet, and clean, and a perfect little sweetheart that would be happy beside her special person enjoying a quiet life. Finley came to us from a shelter in NC recently and has stolen our hearts. We believe he must have been someone's beloved pet at some point as he is just so sweet and gentle. He seems to have led a somewhat sheltered life as he is uncertain with many things most dogs never consider. He loves to be with people and is kind to other small dogs. Fully grown at just 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Finley is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be in Finley's best interest. As a young dog, we will look for an adopter able to provide independently for Finley for his lifetime.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Finley and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Finley at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
