Figi Maltese Ridgway, CO

Figi has found a foster home but is adoptable and still hoping meet her forever family soon.

Figi is a 6 year old Maltese. She is a puppy mill survivor who is still very frightened of the world. She is hoping for a person with a gentle hand, a caring heart, and a lot of patience.
She will need another well adjusted dog in the home to help mentor her and a nice secure area so she can enjoy her new freedom and sunshine without running off.

She is absolutely beautiful and sweet but very afraid of people

Adopters will be considered on the totality of the application and how it matches the particular pet's needs.

We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.

Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.

We do not know or make guarantees that a dog or cat will do well with all children, other animals or is house-trained.

It is important everyone, especially all of the adults in the home, meet the potential new pet. Please also bring photo identification if you plan to adopt.

We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.


Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
