IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
___

Meet Fig, a 4.5-month-old neutered male Westie mix (estimated DOB: 3/14/25) with a tender heart and soulful eyes that will melt you instantly. Weighing just 8.6 lbs, Fig is the smallest of his litter—but don’t let his size fool you. This little guy is full of love and charm.

Fig is currently being fostered in AUSTIN, TX and can transport out of state to an approved adopter—transport is arranged by the rescue.

Fig is a gentle, affectionate pup who thrives on connection. He’s a bit shy at first and may take a moment to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’s all cuddles and tail wags. He absolutely adores being held and will happily snuggle up in your lap for a nap after a good play session.

His softer personality comes with just the right touch of puppy drama—he’s been known to let out a theatrical whimper if he feels left out or misunderstood. He’s also got a playful side and loves toys just as much as his bolder siblings. Watching him romp around with a stuffed animal or pounce after a squeaky toy is pure joy.

Like all puppies his age, Fig is still working on housebreaking and crate training, so he’ll need a family that’s ready to guide him with patience, structure, and consistency. Because he’s still young and learning, he’ll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to help support his development and give him the attention he needs to thrive. During the day, he’s not crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time.

Fig hasn’t been around children or cats, but we believe he’d do well in a calm home with respectful kids who understand how to be gentle with small, sensitive dogs. He’s very dog-friendly and would love the companionship of another pup to help build his confidence.

With a petite 19-lb mama and an unknown dad, we expect Fig to stay on the small side, though we can’t guarantee his adult size. What we can promise is that this little guy will reward you with endless love, quiet loyalty, and the kind of companionship only a truly special puppy can offer.

If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, and snuggly little friend, Fig is ready to find his perfect person and a forever home full of warmth and care.
___

***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***

Interested in applying to adopt him?
