Our sweet old guy Fernando could tell a lot of stories but unfortunately a lot of them would be sad ones, based on the scars on his body. He was more than likely dropped at the shelter by a hunter in Spain & was probably used to hunt wild boar. This dashing gentleman wants nothing more than to be loved on for the rest of his life. The amazing Estela from Proyecto Berta saw him at a perrera while picking up two other Sanctuary seniors & ended up going back to get him. He looked so sad that she just couldn't leave him there. He quickly learned how to enjoy all the comforts of family life with his foster family like dog beds & treats. We're considering him cat workable at this time. His foster family is working on getting him acclimated with them The best news for this dashing dude is that he's now in the US & currently being fostered in MD.
His adoption fee goes towards the cost of transporting him here to the US. The sanctuary fundraises to make up the difference. Please review the adoption fee before applying. We feel strongly that these seniors deserve a loving, warm home & family, something that most of these dogs have never had the opportunity to experience.
