Hey there, I'm Ferdinand! My origin story is pretty sad; I was abandoned overnight at the SPCA of Brazoria County in a backyard run. Yeah, you read that right. I'm just a sweet baby and somebody left me! If that's not sad enough, I had severe skin infections and barely looked like a dog.

My friends at the shelter have worked hard to nurse me into the beautiful boy I am today--but I'm not just a handsome face! I am a gentle giant, with a loving nature and an affinity for snuggles. I love making friends with other dogs and people of all ages, so I'm a shoo-in for any home that has some room and love.

I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $650. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes:
spay/neuter
age-appropriate vaccinations
a registered microchip
a heartworm test (if over 6 months)
current flea/tick prevention
any medical expenses while in care
a health certificate for travel
the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance!)

Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). My adoption will be finalized and the fee will be processed the day before transport.
