He came to us as a stray, nervous and itchy, with a skin infection that is now fully healed. Despite his rough start, Ferb has shown nothing but love for every human he meets. He has done great meeting other dogs, though we're unsure about cats.<br/><br/>Ferb is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment--but don't worry! He can go home during treatment, and the shelter covers the care to get him healthy. Heartworm is a parasite spread by mosquitoes that affects the heart and lungs, but with proper treatment, dogs can fully recover and live happy, healthy lives.
