Meet Falkor

Meet Falkor! Falkor is a small 10 lbs WestiePoo that could probably use gaining a few more pounds - luckily he is in a loving foster home. He is 3 years old, and settling in nicely with his foster family - peeps and dogs alike. If you have a warm lap, then he just might be the dog just for you! Falkor is timid at first, but warms up when he realizes you like him. He does have allergies for which he is currently receiving treatment. Falkor needs a home without children. When children visit, he will need to be put up. Falkor does wear a belly band in the house as he is not fully housebroken.
He’s a sweet boy who deserves a loving home. Falkor has already learned to use a doggie door at his foster mom’s house.
If you’d like to meet Falkor, the first step is to complete and submit an adoption application on our okwestierescue.com website and we’ll get the process started.
Please allow 1-2 weeks to finish processing your application, but please know our volunteers are working hard on it.
Falkor’s adoption fee is $300 and is tax deductible.

NOTE: You must complete and submit an application and be approved to adopt prior to being able to meet the dog.  The requested tax-deductible adoption donation is $400 for our puppies, $300 for up to age 7 and $150 for ages 8 and older.
We do not ship our pets.  Be prepared to travel to Tulsa, OK, or Oklahoma City, OK, or the location where this dog is fostered to pick up your dog in person if your application is approved.  Once you are approved, you may adopt any of our dogs that is a good fit.
We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved.  We thank you for your support.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human.
We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, has received several applications, or is not able to be adopted for some reason.
