Faith is a tiny girl weighing about 5 lbs. She is believed to be about 9 years old. She was a breeder dog in a puppy mill all her life. She received little to no vetting or love.
Faith is a sweet girl and likes to receive love but she struggles with trusting people. She is getting better about it and will seek her person for attention, but sometimes fear gets the better of her and she will run away. She is learning a lot from the other dogs in the home and she likes to be with them. She has learned to play and how great dog beds are! She also likes tasty treats. Faith does have a grade 4 heart murmur and she takes daily meds for it. She will need to continue those meds for the remainder of her life. She has received a dental and all of her bad teeth were removed. She still has many left and can eat regular dry kibble.
Faith will need a canine companion in her next home to continue to learn from and a secure physical fence to keep her safe. Puppy mill dogs are a high flight risk. They do not know how to walk on a leash and will fight to get out of a collar or harness. These are requirements and not suggestions. If you do not have these two things, then Faith is not the dog for you.
Faith's adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heart worm prevention. Visit our website for our application leiashope.org.
