Overall, Face is doing fantastic in foster. He lives with 2 adults and a very large juvenile dog (as seen in above pics :) ). Face loves every person he meets. He is learning manners. He is learning that the crate is a good place. Face is doing a good job with house training. He is let out often and always goes to the bathroom. Face loves walks and likes to inspect every stick.
Face spends a lot of the day wrestling with his 8 month old large foster brother. They do play rough and does need to be managed from time to time. The two dogs get along great. They are never left without supervision. Face loves to play but has a very exuberant play style and just needs to be managed to make sure he's not too much for the other dog.
Face sleeps in a crate at night and is left in a crate during the day when no one is home. He has gone 3-4hrs so far in the foster home being left alone. Other dog in the home is crated too. Face sleeps soundly throughout the night (has gone 8-10hrs) - besides very large snores :)
Face is a total goofball - just look at his face! Unfortunately Face came to the shelter in rough shape; he was underweight and did not seem to be well cared for and had some medical issues. After vet care and lots of TLC, Face is ready for his forever home!
He is an athletic, high-energy young dog who will need an appropriate amount of exercise (and would love to have a fenced yard!), but he is open and eager to learn, and truly wants to please his people! Like all pups, he would benefit from positive reinforcement based training to help him learn good manners.
Face really enjoys playing with other dogs, but needs appropriate dog friends; not every dog wants a hyper, strong young dog bouncing on their head! He seems to like kids, but due to his energy and exuberance, we recommend ages 10+.
Shelter staff think Face is about 2 year old. Face had his adoption fee sponsored by a generous donor!

***** PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption process can move quite quickly, and applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. You must visit the animal in person at the shelter before submitting an application (see visiting hours below).
Some animals, especially puppies/kittens and small dogs, can go very quickly. For this reason, we recommend that if you see an animal you are interested in, you come into the shelter *as soon as possible*.
Our busiest days are Saturdays and Sundays, and if you plan to come on one of those days we highly recommend that you arrive early (at noon or even a few minutes before) in order to minimize wait times and maximize your chances of being the first applicant on the pet you wish to adopt.
Please do not bring your current pets to the shelter. If you intend to adopt a dog and want the new dog and your current dog to meet, that can be scheduled with the help of your Adoption Counselor. Thank you! *****
