Say hello to Ezra! Ezra is a 4 month old, Male, 15lbs Terrier Mix. He’s a curious little dude that is looking for a buddy.

He was abandoned in a field in Bakersfield, CA along with 9 other dogs we rescued this week. There's lots of roaming un-neutered/un-spayed dogs in that area, so most likely he has received zero positive human interaction in his life.

From his foster:

"Ezra is a sweet boy, moderate easy going, and loves attention and his belly rubs. He's very affectionate and playful but also enjoys alone time with a good chewy treat. He's fearless and relatively confident, but sensitive and takes it to heart if reprimanded until you wave a treat or toy then hes good to go. A little shy with strangers but pick him up and he melts in your arms. Loves being held, loves to eat, loves to play and loves to chill..I think he will do great in a home with other pups. He's gentle so older kids may be ok."

Puppies are sometimes born from pregnant dogs in our care, while others come in as rescues. All puppies are held in quarantine with a foster family for two weeks to care for them. During that time they will get brought up to date with their vaccinations, and are seen by our vet for a full wellness check. The dog would then be available to go home with their forever family when they are 8+ weeks old, and held in quarantine for two weeks. To keep these puppies safe from bacteria and deadly diseases, puppies are never available for meet and greets.
