Meet Evie!
Evie is 13 pounds Little, full grown! She’s 4 1/2 years old and wondering about living with you in her new Furever home. She is working on walking on leash & seems trainable. She likes to be in the car but requires a seatbelt restraint. She doesn’t bark much in the house but exercises her vocal cords in the yard!
She seems to like meeting new adults, but is overwhelmed by children
• She seems to like meeting other other small animals, & did well with well behaved big dogs too.
Miss Evie goes into her crate willingly, sleeps through the night in her own bed or on her person’s bed & likes to cuddle but isn’t clingy.
She loves to play with a variety of toys especially with her person
• knows some commands such as sit, stay, down
• used to respond to the command to come, but doesn’t when outside - fenced yard or leashed and supervised a must.
Evie needs a stronger, more dominant personality in an owner and someone who is more youthful and energetic to provide the training needed. Otherwise, she can become too aggressive in play, on someone’s lap, or if she needs to be moved or repositioned. She can get nippy when excited.
Overall, Evie is a smart, sweet, playful companion. She is a good girl & doesn’t engage in chewing anything but her toys. Her foster feels she needs to be with more than one person for attention. She also needs someone without physical and age limitations or is too much to handle.

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
