Eva German Shepherd Dog Jefferson City, MO

I’m always blown away by these street dogs. Eva just arrived, but she’s just amazing. This beautiful girl was left to endure hellish South Texas streets, chased by multiple suitors when she went into heat, and almost forced to live the same fate of so many others...dog has litter, litter disappears one by one, mama dog is vulnerable and cannot protect herself let alone multiple babies. Repeat. The second I saw the post by, I knew there was no decision to be made. It already was. I said go get her lol. Then of course they had to find her which took a couple days but it ended up being the easiest rescue they remember lol. Eva wanted to be saved!!!! And now here Eva is, a world away, in a strangers home yet seeking out affection.

She is completely kennel trained. Loves people and loves loves loves to play. She also doesn't mind chilling out and watching Yellowstone. She is anxiously awaiting for the remaining episodes of season 5 to be released.
She is fantastic on her leash and on walks. She stays right by Mike's side. No lunging or pulling. She is non reactive to other dogs walking by. Several of the neighborhood kids have greeted her and she has been so gentle. She's smart and eager to please. She has gained quite a bit of confidence since arriving. She is completely house trained - no accidents. She waits at our patio door when she has to go outside. We had a break through yesterday. She went out all by herself! She did not need Allie or a human to go with her. She is a bit scared at night so I take her out at night but she is getting a lot better. She loves love and is overall an awesome dog. She still paces a little but not nearly as much as she did when she arrived.
