Meet Esme-3/31/2020
ESME is a darling, 3-year-old, 35-pound, Boxer and Hound mix with a delightfully cheerful and sweet personality!
ESME is in a foster home & here is what her foster mom has to say about her:
"Have you always wanted that dog that greets you with excitement at the door and wants to just snuggle and kiss your face? Then Esme is your dog! She is sweet, gentle, housebroken and crate trained. She is good with other dogs, but not a fan of cats."
FROM ESME HERSELF
"When people see me they think, "Ooooh, look at that scary dog!" I know, I've got that kind of a face, tough, steely, intense... If they only knew. The only thing I'm intense about is licking your face as many times as possible before you can stand up. But having a scary-looking dog like me has its advantages. Imagine how much fun we could have intimidating people on walks! No wait, that might not work, they will most likely see my tail wagging, it's a dead giveaway. I really have no control over the thing, it does what it wants. Okay, forget that. I know... I could use my mean looking face to frighten off burglars! Oh, right... yeah, that won't work either... same reason. As a matter of fact, I'd be likely to get so carried away in my excitement about having company that I would show them where all the valuables are hidden.
Alright, let's forget about the advantages of me looking scary, and focus on the advantages of me being a cuddly sweetheart! Okay, how's this... while you are at work counting the minutes until you can leave, I'll be at home counting the minutes until you arrive. When you open that door, the first thing you'll see is me! My butt will be wigglin' and I will be anxiously awaiting your face so I can kiss it! If you're not careful, I might accidentally slip you the tongue... and if you're really not careful, it might be that slippery part on the bottom! Eeeeew! But you won't mind, because if I were to come and live with you, you'd fall in love with me, I'd make sure of it!
Do you think maybe we should get together at your house to discuss this further? Perhaps a demonstration or two?
Love,
~ Esme"
