Meet Emma
Hi, my name is Emma! I am approximately 7 years old. I came to the shelter when my owners could no longer care for me.
I am a very sweet girl who enjoys people. I arrived with a rather severe skin infection, caused by a combination of fleas and seasonal allergies. With medicated baths, regular flea meds, and simple benedryl, I am feeling much better! I will need regular flea preventative medication to keep me feeling good, and may need benedryl during the spring/summer seasons too. I also had some small growths on my chest and bottom area. The shelter had those removed for my comfort and tested too, and they were benign (non-cancerous). I also had some bad teeth removed at the vet too, and the other teeth got a nice cleaning.
I am okay with some of the dogs in the shelter, but not a fan of others. I haven't been very cat reactive here, however. I walk nicely on the leash, and enjoy being petted and just being close to people. I'm a girl looking for the finer things - a soft bed, a nice person with kind words for me, and plenty of toys.
I am up to date on my DAPP and rabies vaccines, and micro-chipped too.
My adoption fee is $100 (+ $20 county dog license, if residing within Jefferson County). Staff takes applications for all the dogs here. If you're interested in me, you can fill one out on their website here (bottom of the page): https://www.hsjcwa.org/adoptapet/
Thank you!
