Emily is a happy, loving and super confident dog who comes to us from Iran. She was found outside a grocery store on a busy road, begging for food. She was so small and vulnerable it just about broke our heart. We think it likely that she lived in a home at one time and was kicked out when they got tired of her. That happens frequently where she comes from. Emily has a strong personality but she's not a bully. She loves to play with the other dogs but really what she wants most in life is to be with a special person she can call her own. Emily enjoys being with people so much that she gets anxious when she is left alone, so would prefer to have someone around often. She is energetic and would prefer to have a very secure yard to hang out in and spend time with her person. Emily would be a great hiking partner for an active person. She is great with everyone she meets and will smother your face in kisses the first chance she gets. She needs an experienced person who can give her structure and the proper amount of exercise and boundaries. Once someone gives this girl a chance they will truly fall in love.


Important Note: As with most dogs who come to us from overseas, the sights and sounds of Southern California will be strange to them and may be overwhelming. Great care should be taken to make sure that Emily is securely leashed and/or harnessed at all times and is always in an outdoor secure environment. She will become accustomed to her new environment day by day.
