Meet Emily
Meet our Emily! Emily is one of 5 Cocker Spaniel mix puppies that came to us locally after a family adopted the mom (a purebred Cocker Spaniel) from a local shelter and realized a month later that she was pregnant.
NOTE: These puppies are NOT hypoallergenic and do shed.
Emily is in a foster home with other dogs and cats and gets along with everyone. Emily can be shy in new situations and with loud noises so we would not place her in a home with young children. She will need someone who has the time and patience to work with her and continue to socialize her.
Emily's date of birth is 11/11/2019.
From Emily's Foster Mom: "I'm Emily. I am a puppy. I am not housebroken. I make messes. I shed. I will need regular grooming to keep the hair out of my eyes and off my tushy. I run. I run into things. I might chew your shoes, maybe your fingers (but don't let me!). I escape through gates and get into tiny spaces. Think you puppy proofed? Trust me, YOU DIDN'T. I can squeeze into places you haven't even considered. I like to nap at your feet. I don't like to be alone. I like to play, chase toys, and will lick your nose if I get close enough. I don't want to sit in your lap for long but might be willing to nap next to you on the couch."
If you are interested in meeting Emily, the first step is to complete an application at our website, www.helporphanpuppies.org. Please note that our adoption requirements are noted on our website.
