Make room on your couch. Emerson is coming over to stay! That's right, I am Emerson and I have my bag packed for your house. I am a year and a half old, 34 pound American Blue Heeler (the real deal too)! I was bred to be a working dog so I will need quite a bit of exercise, both mentally and physically plus a fenced yard. I am a smart guy and my leash skills are awesome! I am house broken and crate trained too. I like to chase squirrels and birds in the yard, so not sure how I would do with a cate. Introductions to other dogs need to be slow. Since I have so much energy and am a herding breed, I may knock over little ones or nip, so no kids in my adoptive home. I would love to go on big outdoor adventures since I need lots of exercise everyday!

Not to brag, but I just completed a two week training course at Howliday Inn and have many skills that I will need to continue to work on. I will need a very special hero who would be willing to not only continue my training, but also knows specifically about my breed. That person needs to be a strong leader and who is an expert at immediate correction. I know it's a lot to ask from an adopter, but I promise, I will be worth all the patience and love you throw my way! So, get my room ready! I am coming!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
