Emerald: The Shy Gem
Emerald was just two years old when she was found wandering the sweltering streets of Harris County, Texas. Her ribs showed through her thin coat, her paws were cracked from the heat, and her eyes—though tired—still held a flicker of hope. She had no collar, no chip, and no one to call her own.
When a kind stranger offered her food, water, and shelter from the brutal summer sun, Emerald thought her luck had finally changed. She curled up in the shade, belly full for the first time in days, and drifted into a peaceful sleep. But her journey was far from over.
Emerald was taken to the local shelter, she wasn't safe by any means.
Despite her gentle nature and soulful eyes, the shelter was overcrowded, and her time was out. We had to help her!!
Emerald’s name says it all—she is a gem. A quiet, loving soul who, though shy at first, warms up quickly. She’ll look at you with eyes full of gratitude, her gaze saying more than words ever could. She doesn’t demand attention; she simply offers love.
Emerald current on vaccinations, microchip and spay. She is HW+ and started treatment.
