Meet Elvis

This is Elvis! Sweet Elvis gives the best hugs. He always has a goofy grin on his face and is the most affectionate cuddler!
Elvis enjoys going for hikes, swimming and splashing in the pond, playing fetch, and just making sure his people friends are always happy. Elvis is a snugglebug who will brighten your darkest day.
In typical cattle dog fashion, he will be most happy with humans to interact and bond with rather than other dogs. If you have a dog in the family, we will want to do a full introduction.
As a puppy mill survivor, Elvis will require patience as you socialize and train him to be the best boy he can be. You can be assured that he will always want to make you happy.
Elvis is about 3 years old and weighs about 38 lbs.
We often adopt same day as the first visit an interview but it is not guaranteed. Some dogs will take multiple visits and adopters are approved based on the best fit for the particular animal being considered. We do not hold pets during the process.
Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.
Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills. Please be prepared to provide that training and dedication that will be needed.
We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.
It is important everyone in the home is introduced to the new pet.
We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.
All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.
Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
