Meet Elvira, Mistress of the Bark

Ready to have your heart stolen?! Elvira, Mistress of the Bark is ready to enchant you! ♥

Elvira is an amazing girl who found herself in a sucky situation. From being under the threat of being shot to fighting for her life after she came down with Parvo. Through it all, she has shown that she is a fighter. She is now safe in a wonderful foster home and kicked Parvo's butt. She may have not had the best past, but we are going to make sure that she has an amazing future! ♥

Elvira, Mistress of the Bark is about 4.5 months old. She weighs around 40lbs, and probably won't exceed the 60lb range(this is a guess). She has a beautiful black fluffy coat, with some white spots. She is pretty well behaved and is a good mix of calm and playful.

Are you wanting to welcome Elvira to your family? You can do so by applying for her at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
-However, we strongly urge you to read her FULL bio which includes her adoption fee, more about her personality, and her location before applying.

?? From Elvira's foster mom ??

"Elvira is a 4.5-month-old Pyrenees mix. Elvira is the cutest, sweetest little puppy, with long fluffy black fur, and a white chest and tummy. She has some brown highlights behind her ears and the prettiest brown eyes. She adores getting petted and snuggling with her foster humans and will give the occasional kiss. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home and has had so much fun patrolling the backyard with the dogs, looking for squirrels, moles, etc to chase. She is not much of a barker. Elvira will be a wonderful pet for the family who chooses her. She is a huge sweetheart packed into a smaller body!"

??To Elvira's Future Family ??
-----------------------------------------

? Elvira is still getting used to walking on a leash, but she just LOVES sniffing and exploring new territory. She is not one to pull/ drag you but may lay down if she gets nervous on the walk. Elvira does GREAT in the car. She will sit and look out the window, and then lay down and take a nap. When she first gets in the car, she tends to be more excited and may try to get in your lap. Elvira does great in public settings. She recently went to a neighborhood picnic at the park and was wagging her tail and getting pets. Elvira LOVES meeting new people! She does not jump up or bark but will come over for pets. Elvira does not jump on people.

? Elvira is a young puppy and loves to chew on nylabones, oinkies, and kongs. She and her littermates have the best time playing with sticks in the backyard. They all want to chew the SAME stick, so they constantly steal the sticks from each other. Elvira will chase after tennis balls. She is working on consistently bringing the ball back. We'll get there! Elvira loves to run in front of the hose (it's been so hot outside) and will splash her water bowl to help cool off. Elvira loves ALL toys! She loves big plush squeaky stuffed animals best, but also loves running around the yard with her squeaky tennis balls.
-Elvira, Mistress of the Bark has not shown to have any issues with food aggression or resource guarding.

?Elvira, Mistress of the Bark is potty and kennel trained. She has not shown to be a big barker in her foster home.

?Elvira does great with other dogs. She loves playing with her 3 littermates and has done really well getting along with her foster's two bossy border collies.

?Elvira is not being fostered around any cats. Given her temperant and age, we believe she would do fine with a proper introduction.

?Elvira is great with older kids who are dog savvy. She met several kids at the park, and they let her sniff their hands, and then gently petted her. She loved that!

?Elvira, Mistress of the Bark would be a candidate for apartment living. Her new family would need a good exercise plan in place, and either have another dog for companionship or be home most of the day.

?? Am I the family for Elvira? ??

Elvira, Mistress of the Bark is an amazing girl and below is what she would LOVE to have in her new home.

-Elvira's ideal home would have either another dog she can play with, or someone who is home most of the day- she loves spending time with her people. We think her energy level will match that of her home. She is a medium energy dog, and a total lap dog! She will enjoy going on walks and car rides. She would do well in obedience/ training classes- she is treat and praise motivated!

-Elvira's new family needs to be able to pick her up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with her and her new family! ?
*Elvira is being fostered in Tulsa, OK*

-Her adoption fee is $275. That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. She will also have had a bordetella. She will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
