Meet Elsie (TX adopt only)

Elsie is a 2.5 year old Labrador mix, who was rescued from the streets of Houston. While in foster care SOT found out that she was pregnant. She had her puppies in a warm, loving foster home. Elsie gave birth to 7 puppies (the NH litter-all have been adopted). Elsie was found to be heartworm positive. She is going through treatment currently so is only available for adoption in TX.
Elsie is described by her TX foster as “having the wiggliest bottom and being a sweetheart “. As with many pups that are rescued from the streets they are so thankful for their humans and love to be around them.
Elsie’s ideal living situation would be in a home where there isn’t lots of people coming and going. Elsie can be skittish/nervous and protective of her home. An older couple with grown children. Not that she’s not fine with kids but that usually means more strangers coming and going.
Elsie has been around both dogs & a cat in her foster home and done well with all. Elsie would also do well as the only pet so she can have all your attention.
Elsie is currently in a loving foster home in TX and is currently available for adoption in TX only.

We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
