HISTORY: Received a call for help from First Nations community about a pregnant dog living outside in the cold. Darling Sadie had her puppies, was a wonderful mother, and now it’s her turn for a furever home.
SIZE/WEIGHT: 60lb, Medium
TEMPERAMENT: Gorgeous Elsie has come a long way since coming to us. She asks to go out. She is very intelligent and food motivated and eager to learn.
SOCIALIZATION SKILLS/NEEDS: Needs ongoing socialization since had not seen the world where she was picked up from, then spent the next many months pregnant and raising her darling babies. Now its her turn!
PETS NEEDS/BEHAVIOURAL INFO: Shy of new people but comes around.
BEST MATCH: Elsie would do best in an active home, no young children or other pets. A fenced yard, hiking and dog parks to run. She was a loving mother and still is! One puppy is currently in foster care with her, however, it’s now her turn for a Furever home!
FAVORITE THINGS: Her favorite things are belly/behind the ear rubs, having her chin in your hand, being told she's pretty and loved, Meal time! Sitting for treats. Zooming in the yard. And just being in the presence of those who she loves and trusts.
