Meet Elsa
Hi, my name is Elsa, and I'm 8 years old. Life hasn't always been kind to me-I spent most of it outdoors, and because of that I developed a severe heartworm infection that has damaged my heart. I'm on treatment to help, and I'll most likely need medication and special food for the rest of my life. We don't know exactly how much time I have left, but I'm hoping to spend every single day surrounded by love.
Don't feel sorry for me-my spirit is strong, and I still have plenty of tail wags, soft cuddles, and gentle kisses left to share. I absolutely adore children and would be so happy to have little ones to love on. I don't mind other calm dogs either, as long as they understand I'm more of a napper than a player these days.
I may be considered a hospice adoption, but what I'm really looking for is a family who will make my final years truly golden. Will you be the one to give me the gift of a loving home?
