Eloise & Elle Chihuahua New York, NY

A couple of months ago three senior female chihuahuas were abandoned in a box in front of an animal sanctuary. One of our volunteers found out about them and offered to bring them into our rescue program. We don't know their history, but we suspect it's a mom and two daughters. One of the girls was transported to one of our NYC foster homes for specialty medical care. The other two, Eloise (brindle) and Elle (black) stayed behind in our rescue volunteer's home to complete their vetting. Both girls are healthy now, spayed UTD and have had dentals. Both girls are the like sugar!

Eloise and Elle's foster mom say the girls are complete dolls. They were shy at first and didn't want human touch, but now they're sweet and loving. They LOVE the other calm dogs and often can be found following the resident dogs around the backyard.

Eloise & Elle are bonded and we'd love to keep them together. They are about 4 pounds each! Their ideal forever home is in the suburbs in an adult only home. It appears as though they've never been walked on a leash so an apartment in the city would not be appropriate. They need a quiet environment in a home with a secured, fenced yard - they love the grassy backyard! Eloise is a bit more timid and nervous, but warms up once she develops trust. Elle is more trusting and playful. And together they are happy, sweet and a lot of fun! If you love the breed these girls just may be the ones for you.
