I come to you with a tale of unwavering strength and resilience. My name is Eloise, but you can call me Ello! I am a 5-year-old, 62-pound Pit Bull mix and just like the spirited character from the book, I've discovered that life isn't all shadows and darkness. I've braved the stormy seas of neglect and abuse, but now I'm finding solace in the warm embrace of a loving foster home. I am house, crate and leash trained making me the best girl! I'm good with dogs, older kids and even cats. I could thrive in an apartment, a cozy home, or even the wide-open road of a semi-truck. I enjoy sitting on the coach, car rides, wrestling with other pups, and attention from my people. Like Eloise, I believe in the power of love to transform lives.

I participated in Pups for Parole and I have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I learned!

One important thing you need to know about me is that as a result of my time at animal control, I developed some problems with my feet. I have a condition called hyperkeratosis. This is a condition where the skin produces too much keratin, leading to thick, dry, rough, and often cracked skin—especially on areas like my paw pads. I will need to have ongoing treatment for my feet such as a balm and trimming by a vet or groomer. I also take daily medication (gaba apoquel omegas hip/joint meds). But don't let this stop you from adopting me! I am such a great girl!



My adoption fee is $75 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
