Elmer American Staffordshire Terrier & American Bulldog Mix New Milford, CT

Elmer is a sweet boy who was dealt a poor hand. He has been with us for four years. He has watched countless other dogs get their furever families, patiently awaiting his own. Every night, he grabs his favorite toy (out of many) and blanket (the more, the merrier), and snuggles up to dream of what they will be like. Elmer told us that he dreams of a home where he is an only child (because he deserves all the love one has to give and more), a nice fenced in yard to run and play, lots of toys and blankies of his own, special treats for his sensitive skin and tummy, and a loving family who has patience with him. He told us that the last part is what makes him the most apprehensive. He says that because he has lived with us in the shelter for so long, that it may take him some time to settle in, but that he plans to try his absolute hardest to make a quick transition into a home!
Every day, we tell our baby boy that dreams do come true, and his family is out there in search of him! Can you help us make this boy’s dreams come true?
