Meet Elliot
Elliot is a 7-year-old, 85-pound loving Labrador retriever looking for a family who appreciates the goofy and abundant love of a Lab.
Elliot loves hanging out with his people - going for walks, playing games, and snuggles. He needs a good walk every day and then is happy to head home to nap on the couch, stirring now and again to follow his people around.
Elliot does well with other dogs, and but mostly does best with bigger dogs because sometimes his size can intimidate smaller dogs. He should be in a cat-free home. Elliot hasn’t had much experience with children but is generally friendly to everyone and his limited experience has been excited and happy. Small children might find his energy a bit overwhelming.
Elliot is vocally expressive under some circumstances so an apartment might not be the best fit.
Elliot is looking for a home where he can enjoy an active lifestyle as well as be loved and adored by his family. Elliot can get stressed and vocal when he is left along too long. For that reason, his ideal home includes a family where someone is home part of the day. Sweet ol’ Mr. Elliot is working on his leash manners and cultivating gentlemanly courtesy when he greets new people. He is a strong and enthusiastic boy and needs a reasonably strong handler as he continues to learn leash manners. His foster family has been working on training with him and he would need his forever family to use positive training to continue help him to be the best dog he can be.
His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
