Ellie May is a petite 33 lb, one year old little Lab/Hound Mix. She and her three puppies were taken into rescue after being found under a shed. Now that she’s done with her mommy duties, she is able to enjoy being the one who gets pampered by her foster family as she gains confidence daily.
From her southern foster mom: Ellie May can be a little shy and hide under a table or corner of a room in a new environment for a couple days as she observes things. But once she knows everyone is safe, she's a wiggling machine who loves to cuddle up with a human or another furry friend on the couch. She's also good at keeping you cozy at night. Ellie May has made great (and quick) progress learning to walk on a leash with a no pull harness. She can be a little scared of cars but every day she gets more brave and should have that conquered in no time. We doubt she had much interaction with humans prior to her foster home but she is definitely learning to soak it up. Ellie May is crate trained and good with other dogs and older kids who have dog experience (due to her shyness). She is scared of cats. She is still working on housetraining but she will go to the door and start sniffing around when she needs to go to the bathroom so if you are watching her you can take her out - she likes to have you keep her company when she goes outside. Ellie May is such a lovebug!

PUPS GROW INTO the expectations of their families through consistent love, caring and training. Families with children must have established boundaries for both the puppy and the children.
