Meet Ellie Mae
Meet Ellie Mae! She is a Husky/Lab/Shibu mix, 50 lbs and 1 year old.
Ellie Mae came from a home where she did not get much experience with many people or the world around her. This means she is very anxious with new people, things and experiences. It takes her a while to learn to trust. But once she loves you, she loves hard and big!!
Her favorite place is in our fenced yard with her foster sister. She loves to play but also can chill with her family. Her foster sister recently taught her to bark and while it’s good she is learning to express herself we are currently working on when to bark and when not to. She is the softest dog ever…you will love petting her as much as she loves being petted!
Ellie Mae needs a patient owner who will commit to taking the time Ellie needs to settle in as she has had a lot of transition in her life the last 6 months. She has been in her latest foster home for about a month and takes daily anxiety medication. She gets along well with other dogs but likes to horde her toys. She isn’t very interested in cats although her experience with them is very limited. Ellie Mae is fully crate trained (no barking there!), walks are fun, she is house broke and hasn’t chewed on anything she shouldn’t. Ellie is spayed and fully vaccinated.
