Ellie is a sweet, intelligent, and energetic 1-year-old Blue Heeler mix ready for a fresh start after a tumultuous beginning. As a herding breed, she is naturally loyal, eager to learn, and thrives with structure and guidance. She will do best with an experienced, breed-savvy owner who can provide consistent training, set clear boundaries, and help her build confidence.
Ellie gets along with both dogs and cats but requires slow, proper introductions. She can be bossy and domineering with other dogs, so an owner who understands canine dynamics will be ideal. She experiences strong emotions and can become overwhelmed at times, which means she needs patience and positive reinforcement to help her manage her behavior.
With the right guidance, Ellie has the potential to be an incredible companion. She has been spayed dewormed and vaccinated and is ready to find her forever home.

- loves to sleep with her person/s
- Not comfortable in a crate...tried but it did not go well.
- Needs basic training and leash training. Currently does not get walked so unknown if reactive on leash.
- Occasional accidents
- Energy level is high therefore needs long walks or secure yard.
- Loves to be touched. In fact demands it.
- Chases squirrels and pigeons but not excessively
- No Food aggression with people or dogs. Treat possessive.
- Is Possessive of her toys with other dogs. She takes toys and treats from the other dogs, If she sees another pup going for a toy, she races and grabs it before they can. If a ball is thrown and anyone else tries to get it, she will get nasty and not back down.
If she is beside her owner and another pup wants to sit with her, she will give a slight growl.
