Say hello to Ellie! This scruffy girl is a 6 year-old Terrier mix weighing in at 30 lbs. Ellie is the perfect package for someone looking for a happy-go-lucky best friend that will gladly tag along to all your daily activities!

Since coming into rescue, Ellie's proven to be a very well-trained and happy girl! She is crate trained but does well free roaming. She doesn't mind being home alone and would be a good dog for someone that works during the day. She's not known to bark when alone and may do well in a home with shared walls. She prefers a medium level of activity with a routine daily walk and some play time in between being plenty!
Ellie is very dog friendly! She loves to meet new pups on walks and is understanding of their boundaries and play style. She even used to be a regular at doggy daycare! Inside the home, Ellie does prefer to be the more dominant dog of the pack and a meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption to ensure personalities blend well. Ellie has previously lived with cats and has done very well. She enjoys playing and cuddling with them, but understands their boundaries just as well.

It's ideal that Ellie go to a home with older children. She can struggle sharing the love with young kids and can become anxious when around them for a prolonged period of time. Ellie is a very playful pup but when she's done she wants her playmate to pick up on those queues. For these reasons, it's best that Ellie go to a home with kids 13 years and older.

Ellie is ready to find her forever home! She's looking for a cozy place to cuddle up and people watch out the window and occasionally steal a shoe or two from the closet. With continued love and affection, Ellie will be sure to thrive! The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown.
Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
