Meet Ella (Special Needs)

Meet our beautiful Ella! We doubt you will meet a dog more grateful for a kind word or loving touch.

Ella is looking for a foster home or an adopter without another dog.

Ella is a very low maintenance dog. She is crate trained but prefers to spend about 22 hours a day sleeping on the couch. She is housebroken. Given Ella's injuries, she will only be placed in a single level home with less than 4-5 steps to exit/enter.

Ella came to us when she and her babies were placed in a drop box at a high kill shelter. Due to this, the entire family was placed on the euthanasia list. Ella arrived several weeks before her babies. Ella has multiple fractures, including right hip and leg and left ankle and foot. These fractures are all healed and the vet believes they are due to her being hit by a car before she came to us. We have no doubt that Ella did not have a good life prior to coming to us but she is a very loving dog that wants to please. And we believe Ella deserves nothing but the best for the rest of her life.

Ella prefers to be an only dog, with the exception of her son, Charlie. She has learned to live on the opposite side of a baby gate from other dogs in her foster home but would like to keep them on the opposite side. Ella does not appear to mind cats.

Ella's date of birth is estimated to be 10.05.2016.

Ella is crate trained and housebroken but is not spayed yet. Our wonderful vet has attempted to spay Ella several times but has been unable to do so due to medical complications.
