Ella

Ella is an approximately 7-month-old flat-coated retriever mixed-breed (late February 2007) who is even sweeter than her warm brown eyes reveal. She weighs 36 pounds. Her foster dad says that so far she has had no accidents in his house, gets along with his dog and wants to play with his cats. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and just gorgeous to look at. She has accepted her crate with little protest.<br/><br/>Ella loves people, does no puppy mouthing on people and seldom makes a sound. She walks well on the leash. It took a bit for Ella to relax when she had a bath and met the blow dryer, but she adjusted and looked like she felt better.<br/><br/>Ella is a New Hope dogs who spent a month at animal control waiting for the right person to recognize her beauty in spite of a dirty coat. An Illinois Humane volunteer saw the potential for striking beauty of spirit and body and rescued her so that she can get a home she deserves!<br/><br/>To visit with Ella, please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, Ill., on the first Sunday and fourth Saturday and Sunday of each month or the second and third Sundays at Springfield’s PetsMart on Veterans Parkway.
