Eli II German Shepherd Dog Fredonia, WI

Hey! It's me again, Eli II....

I thought maybe another updated bio was in order, so here we go!

I LOVE dogs, all dogs: big dogs, small dogs, medium dogs, old dogs, puppies (I REALLY LOVE PUPPIES ) - seriously I love dogs. I also like cats, I have spent the last 5 months convincing one of Miss Sarah's cats that I am their friend, and now I'm a little scared of her sometimes . I sometimes hide by Miss Sarah when the cat brings her needle feet over to snuggle me, but I don't do anything bad to the kitty, I'm just a big baby is all.

I'm also better at meeting new people now. Miss Sarah has known I'm just a big, loud, friendly guy since I got here - she's just been explaining to me that my loud barking isn't the way to get people to play ball with me. I am proud to say that I haven't barked my fool head off at any strangers in almost a month now! I really, really like new people to throw the ball and chase me around picking up the ball to throw it again. Bonus points if you get the ball to bounce correctly so I can grab it out of the air!

I just finished my first month of "Focus Pocus" medicine. Miss Sarah says it's not something I'll probably need long term - just long enough to build my muscle memory with the training I'll continue to do. I am VERY SMART (Miss Sarah says so) and as with all very smart dogs I get bored easily and am always looking for something to do. My medicine is very cheap and has no weird side effects, so it's not anything to worry about, it just helps me stay on task. I'm still a big ball of goofy energy and really enjoy learning new tricks!

I know a lot of tricks, Miss Sarah has taught me everything she knows and even some stuff she had to learn herself to keep us both from getting bored. I walk very well on my Freedom Harness, sit and wait at doors, chill on my cot while she cooks or fills food toys, "Heel," "Through" (this one is silly, I didn't understand at first, but now it's super cute and fun), "Down," "Look," "Leave It," "Drop" (this one is sometimes hard to remember because I really love my ball), "Touch" and much more. I'm also kennel and potty trained, like perfectly trained on both. I have been left out of my kennel for short amounts of time unsupervised and haven't done anything naughty.

I'm also the world's best couch snuggler - according to Miss Sarah. I like to be very close to my person and get pets and scritches, but if they lay down and doze off I either stay very still where I am - or move to the end of the couch or the comfy chair next to them and take a nap. I will nose boop them if I need something like going outside, or if a delivery comes, but I don't get too obnoxious about any of that.

I would really, really like to find my Furever Family - I don't know why I've been overlooked for so long (I've been here since May). Miss Sarah's house is awesome, and she says she knows my Furever is out there she just doesn't know where. Please share me to all of your friends and family - and ask them to share me too!
