Hello!

I am Eli. I am a senior chihuahua and pit bull terrier mix. I need your help: I am a bit shy with people, but if you have the patience, I warm up and become one of the quirkiest and funniest dogs you've ever met. I even like other dogs if you already have any in your home with you! I just don't prefer cats or children since I get nervous. I really, really need my own pack of people and/or people and dogs to make me feel safe and happy. I have been at ARNO for almost eight years. They are wonderful people who I have gotten to know so well. I love them so much that when they teach me a new trick, I want to impress them so I learn fast especially to get treats! Walking and running on leash are my specialty and so is basking in the sun! I just need an adult-only home, and someone who is experienced, patient and willing to help me build up my confidence so I'm a little less unsure about the world around me. I feel so much better when people understand me and see I am a loyal and laid back guy with a safe environment you've provided for me.

My adoption fee is $200. This includes a spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, a microchip, a heartworm test, and, if needed, heartworm treatment.

For all animals that have not been spayed or neutered a $100 deposit will be required in addition to the adoption fee. The deposit is refundable upon completion of the spay / neuter surgery.
