We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.

Elfie is a low key 1 year old poodle mix (some of us think mini-bernedoodle, others look at her short stumpy legs and think corgi!) that recently came into the rescue from a puppy mill. She is small with a long body, big paws, short legs and she weighs in at 17 pounds.

Elfie is a little shy and timid at first, but then is all wags and kisses. She loves people and loves dogs and she will be your ride or die couch snuggle companion. She is low key, gentle, and sweet. She is still learning about life outside of the mill and loud noises startle her.

She is crate trained, excelling at house training, and has gotten along with dogs and cats in her foster home. She is a poodle mix and will require regular grooming.

If you are looking for a sweet, laid back snuggler who will be a bestie for you AND your current dog, Elfie is the one! She can’t wait to make your couch a home for the holidays.

She will be going to her adoptive home under a foster to adopt contract until her spay is complete. You would be required to get her into our vet clinic for 7:30 am date TBD, in Rochester and then pick up (3 to 4 pm) from rescue to finalize adoption at that time. For this reason we will not adopt to anyone outside our immediate adoption area. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
